8/19/2013
Advocate business staff report Crawfish Aquatics, a Baton Rouge swimming organization, has purchased a 5-acre piece of property on Siegen Lane for $1.45 million in a deal that was filed Friday. The land is south of Interstate 10, across from the Winn-Dixie store and less than a half-mile from Perkins Road, said Mark Hebert, of Kurz & Hebert Commercial Real Estate. Hebert represented the buyer and the sellers, the Watson family. Crawfish Aquatics owner Dr. Steven Ripple was unavailable for comment Friday afternoon. Ripple founded Crawfish Aquatics in 1998 and the club has leased the pool at the Jimmy Swaggart Ministries on Bluebonnet Boulevard since it was founded. Crawfish Aquatics also has locations in Lafayette and Thibodaux.
